2024 Biking Statistics

The weather is weird. No snow this winter and temperatures are abnormally high. I still took a four month break from biking and worked on cross training exercises as I believe that is a healthy way to maintain fitness. However, it is now time to start riding again. Then again, continuing with the weird weather of the 2023 - 2024 winter, it starts snowing late in March. We get meaningful (and much needed) moisture along with cold windy weather. There is plenty of rain this spring and spring remains windy. This weather is reducing my biking mileage some. In June the weather gets hotter and more humid. Morning riding is definitely a good idea. I thought when I retired I have soooo much time for riding, but there are still too many demands on my time. Oh well, at least I'm not bored. After some much nicer weather in June and July, the weather got hot and humid again in late July and early August. All-in-all though, can't complain too much since I am riding. As autumn begins it is apparent everything is getting dry outside. Droughts do not prevent one from biking but it does affect your mood when you are riding. It just feels nicer when it's lush and green outside.
